First grade learns about Uganda, Africa

Recently Mrs. Stephen’s husband came and presented a lesson all about Uganda where he has traveled several times.  He helped built houses, drill a well and educate the people.  He shared some items from his travels like a stool to set on.  There is no electricity so he showed us a lantern that gives light when you have to go out at night or see something.

Who are these people? Leadership and Global merge together for RyRES Wax Museum

Fourth graders recently had their leadership night and prepared great presentations about local, regional, and global people in their wax museum.   They first read and researched their chosen person. Then they prepared a presentation and practiced what they would say when the second grade students visited their classroom that afternoon.  That night they dressed up again and presented to parents and community members. Some of them said, “They felt nervous” and “had butterflies in their stomachs.”
