Highlights of 2011
The 4th graders had to recall their most memorable moments of 2011 in a recent writing assignment. Memories collected included summer fun, celebrating the holidays, playing with friends, an exciting sporting event, and much more. The students compiled these memories and put them in newspaper form. We have included writing samples from 4 different students who wrote about their memories from 2011.

Having a buddy to read to is fun!
Once a month the 4th grade AIG Reading students meet with their Reading Buddies in Mrs. Porter's Pre-K class. Each 4th grade student chooses and practices two books to read to their buddy. Jacob Pender admitted that the first time it was scary, but now he is relaxed and enjoys reading and talking about the books with his buddy. Katie Enderle says she loves seeing the look on her buddy's face when we walk into the room. Lucas Blanco commented that it gives him a taste of what it is like to be a teacher; he decided to let his buddies choose which book to read first, and they both chose a different book!
